  1. Click Studios releases new minor builds of Passwordstate approximately once per month, and major builds once every 2 years. Below is some instructions on how you can get notified of when new builds are released. Built In Notifications: Under Administration -> System Settings you'll find this option to set a frequency of when Passwordstate checks for new builds. You can also specify which users should be notified when a new build is available. Please note your Passwordstate web server will need to be able to access the https://clickstudios.com.au website to query an xml file for this feature to work. When a new build is available, your users will be notified from within the Notification Centre: Notifications Via Email: Click Studios has an Announcement Forum which we update with any new build release, along with anything else that may be deemed important. If you join up to the forums with a valid email address, you will be notified of any new build via an email as soon as the forum is updated. Forum Location: https://forums.clickstudios.com.au/forum/6-announcements/ Once you join the forums, ensure you subscribe to the Announcements page: You can also join up to our RSS feed using this link which also notifies you of any new builds: https://forums.clickstudios.com.au/forum/6-announcements.xml Regards, Support
  2. Hi Guys, We implemented the following in build 9795 - "Updated Active Directory Account Discovery job to no longer discover disabled or managed service accounts". Regards Click Studios
  3. Issue: If you are trying to add a new using or security group in from Active Directory, or you find your AD sync process is failing, the a good first step in troubleshooting is to test that your Privileged Account used to query your domain is valid. How to Test: First navigate to Administration -> Active Directory Domains, and open the domain you are having issues with. Confirm that the domain details are correct, and if you have a domain controller set that it is a valid server: If you need to confirm that your domain details are correct, log into a machine that is joined to the domain and run the following two commands in a command prompt: set userdomain set userdnsdomain - The NetBIOS Name for your Active Directory settings should match the result of set userdomain - The FQDN should match the result of set userdnsdomain - The LDAP Query String for your Active Directory settings should match the result of set userdnsdomain Whilst you have your domain open, take note of the Account with Read Access name. Now browse to Administration -> Privileged Account Credentials, and open this account. You will find a heartbeat icon on the page, and this will do a live test to the domain to confirm if the username and password is correct. If the password test fails, try resetting the password in Active Directory and then update it on the privileged account screen, and this should fix the issue. Regards Support.
  4. Hello Rene, I just tested the Provided URL again, and it is working for us when we configure the ID fields on the password record itself - can you try this, instead of on a Linked URL? You will need to use the Sync Now menu option as well to sync the changes straight away. For the other request, if you require change in functionality, then we ask if you could log a specific feature request here on our forums for this. Thanks Click Studios
  5. Issue: You are seeing some errors in the Administrations -> Error Console that reference "Build No '9823' - Timeout value exceeded for charts data.", but you are not seeing any impact on your daily usage of Passwordstate. This error relates to the charts that get drawn on Password Lists, Passwords Home or on Auditing screens: Cause: In a recent build Click Studios have introduced some extra security to prevent unauthorized user from reading the values of these charts, so an timer was added to these charts. If the charts do not render on the page within 20 second time limit, then that error will be issued in the error console. Fix: Typically, these charts would render within one second, unless you were using a Load balancer, or Reverse Proxy that is blocking this functionality. If you bypass your Load Balancer or Proxy you should see that these charts are instantly drawn, and no errors will be issued. These charts are drawn via a API call, so your load balancer or proxy will need to allow access to the API on each of your web servers. The API can be accessed by appending /api to your Passwordstate URL. Confirm that the URL you access Passwordstate on is the same URL set under Administration -> System Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Base URL. Also confirm that your webservers have the API role selected, under Administration -> Authorized Web Servers. Open your web server on this page and tick the appropriate option if it isn't already. Lastly, check that you are not denying your Load balancer or Proxy access to your API if using the Allowed IP Ranges feature. Check under Administration -> System Settings -> Allowed IP Ranges tab for any IP Addresses in the API Allowed IP Ranges section and make sure that your devices are not being blocked on this page. Workaround: You can disable the charts altogether in Passwordstate via a User Account Policy, which should prevent these errors, if you cannot workout why the API cannot be accessed through your Load balancer. This forum post has some information about how you can configure a User Account Policy to turn of Charts: https://forums.clickstudios.com.au/topic/14917-simplifying-the-passwordstate-user-interface-ui/ Conclusion: This error is harmless, and your users will most likely not notice anything, but if you want it should be able to be fixed if you investigate why the API cannot be accessed through your Lod Balancer or Proxy. Regards, Support
  6. Hello Rene, Thanks for making the URL available. Below is some feedback for that URL, and the one above with the Gifyu link. Provided URL The Username field (ID tag) for this URL is dynamic, which means it changes every time you visit the site. There are no guarantees that we can fill dynamic fields like this. Instead, if you configure the "UserName Field ID" on the password record to use Username (case sensitive), then this will work. We also look for the "name" tag, or the "class" tag as the last attempt - and all three of these tags need to be unique on the page. Keycloak URL To explain how the form filling works with our extensions, if you leave the Username and Password field IDs blank on your password record, our extensions try to find the appropriate fields and form fill them automatically. The behaviour in your Gifyu link is caused by the Username Field ID on your password record being blank, but then you are mapping the generic field to this same field on the web site. To make this work, do not use the Generic Field, and instead store the email address in Username field. Regards Click Studios
  7. Hi Rene, Thanks, but it does not look like the URL is publicly accessible - it times out with the error of "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT". We are located in Australia - could that possibly be the issue? Regards Click Studios
  8. Hi Rene, Thanks, but we do need example web sites to test against, if we're to make changes to the extensions. If you run across the same issue with any external URLs, please let us know. Regards Click Studios
  9. Hello Magnus, Yes, that is correct. They will need to login to Passwordstate at at least once though, so authenticate with the new functionality. Regards Click Studios
  10. Hello JerLange, Yes, they will automatically update. The latest build number, which you already should be upgraded to, is 9824. Regards Click Studios
  11. Hello Rene, Could you please provide us with a list of Web Site URLs that are not working for you, and we will do some testing? With the web sites were the ID's change, these are quite difficult to work around, and we have to be very careful about not form filling the wrong input elements - but we will do some testing regardless. Thanks Click Studios
  12. Hello Cas, Thanks, and the option is missing, because we do not currently have a feature for it. Maybe try using our browser extensions, as it's a lot better experience than manually copying and pasting credentials into web sites. Regards Click Studios
  13. HI Szu, Today we have released build 9823 of Passwordstate which should fix this issue. Can you please upgrade and test and if there are any issues with this let us know? Regards, Supprot
  14. Hi Everyone, We have released a new build of Passwordstate today, build 9823 which should fix this issue. We have also had to submit a new extension to each of the stores, so you'll need to wait until your browser automatically updates those extensions before testing this again. Chrome and Firefox seem to be pretty instant in terms of approving the new extensions, but Edge seem to work on a 7 day schedule...Date of writing this post is 19th October in Australian time. Please let us know if this doesn't help! Regards, Support
  15. Hello Everyone, Today we have released build 9823. For full details, please refer to our changelog here https://www.clickstudios.com.au/passwordstate-changelog.aspx Regards Click Studios
  16. Hello YaliSmith, Unfortunately it does not look like Microsoft will support this, which is why we've written our own Windows Credential Provider/Browser, based on Chromium some time back now. You can download it from the following page on our web site - https://www.clickstudios.com.au/passwordstate-checksums.aspx Regards Click Studios
  17. Hello, With these OTP fields, are you using these for something that is not a web site? Regards Click Studios
  18. Hello, We do have a feature for this already. If you have specified generic fields on your Password Lists to store additional data, you can map these fields in the browser extension. Please see following document which describes the field mappings - https://www.clickstudios.com.au/downloads/version9/Browser_Extension_Manual.pdf Regards Click Studios
  19. Hello Eileen, When creating Password Lists and Folders, they cannot be nested beneath other Password Lists. Only Password Lists can be nested beneath Folders - this is by design. With Private Lists, you cannot change permissions on them, as they are purely private to the person who created them. If you want other users to also access the List, they should be created as Shared Lists, and then you can change permissions. Regards Click Studios
  20. Hi Phil, If you are not aware, the OTP values are available within the browser extension, and they can also be configured to auto-fill as well? A lot better solution than copying and pasting from the core UI. Could you let us know specifically what is terrible about our browser extension, so we can look at improving it? Thanks Click Studios
  21. Hi Everyone, This unfortunately is a bug in 9811. In this build, we upgraded the .dll library we use to zip up the backups, and for some reason this new library won't zip the file because it found a new file that is in use within the Passwordstate install folder. Only some of our customers are seeing this. We'll have this patched in the next build of Passwordstate we release, but for now please contact support and we can give you the custom instructions that KC_BREC mentioned above: https://www.clickstudios.com.au/support.aspx Regards, Support
  22. Issue: A frequent question we get is Passwordstate will not accept the QR code that Microsoft supply for their online portal access. The error being reported is the QR code being uploaded is an "invalid QR code". There is a trick to this that is documented below, which will allow you to save an alternative QR code from Microsoft, and this can be uploaded into Passwordstate, which you can then use to authenticate to Microsoft portals. Step 1: After applying 2FA to your account in the MS Portal, log into your MS Portal and you will be asked to set up 2FA for your login. Instead of hitting Next, click the link to use a different authenticator app: Step 2: Click Next Step 3: On this next page save this QR Code disk: Step 4: Now in Passwordstate, upload the QR code and it will start giving you the relevant 6 digit code to authenticate with: Step 5: Don't forget to delete the QR code off your disk! Regards, Support.
  23. Hello mfc, We've just responded to your request, asking for the desired Registration Name for your license keys - below is an example of what we request from all customers, and we need you to fill out these details. "I would like to continue using the Free 5 User version of Passwordstate, and are requsting a license key made out to the following Registration Name: Registration Name: <Enter Your Desired Registration Name Here> " Regards Click Studios
  24. Today we released a new version of Passwordstate (Build 9811) which includes your feature improvement suggestion. Thanks again for your suggestion – we really appreciate it. Regards Click Studios
