As of Monday, we are unable to reset credentials in only one of the several domains Passwordstate is managing. The application server is itself not domain joined but, up until Monday, has been successfully rotating credentials every 24 hours.

The error shows as follows regardless of whatever valid account we use:

The Passwordstate Windows Service failed to reset the password for 'xxx' (xxx) with the Active Directory domain 'xxxx.com'. As a result, no changes have been made to this record in Passwordstate. Error = Failed to reset password for account xxxx in Active Directory domain 'xxxxxx.com'. Error = Either the target name is incorrect or the server has rejected the client credentials.

We have ruled out the following: network configuration, firewall configuration, trust configuration (it is not domain joined), certificate expiration and the privileged account credentials themselves. We are able to reset passwords from the same application server using a custom powershell script or the built in one with the same credentials being used within the application.

Could it be related to a Windows Update? Or? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
