Renato.Mucciarelli Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 For me this passkey support in the extension works strange. When a passkey is required the extension opens a windows where I can search the entry for this webpage where the passkey is stored. No clue why I need to search for it and it doesn't autodetect it. In case when I have missed this pop-up windows there is no way to open the extension again and search for the passkey. The webpage is waiting for a passkey and I am not able to find it in passwordstate as "copy-past" the passkey from the passwordstate entry is also not possible. In the extension itself is no way to search for a passkey. Maybe it is only my "fault" what is the experience you have with passkey?
Renato.Mucciarelli Posted December 3, 2024 Author Posted December 3, 2024 Seems that nobody has experience with passkey in Passwordstate 😉
support Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Hi Renato, Would you possibly be able to log your support call directly with our support team, and they will do their best to help with this query. We may need to ask for some sensitive data to help answer this, which isn't appropriate to supply through a public forum. https://www.clickstudios.com.au/support.aspx Regards, Support
Renato.Mucciarelli Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 Thanks for your offers but it was more a "generic" question as I do not understand how it does work with passkeys within passwordstate. For my understanding when I do a login to a webpage with username (it identify it correct and offers the username) and afterwards it should submit the passkey, but nothing happen. I had it once that the extension opened a search dialog and asked for the right passkey to choose manually. But this search dialog is not open again (maybe need to delete my cookies?) and I was wondering how to do it "manually". I can not search with the extension for the entry and choose "passkey" as it is possible for username/password (see attached pictures). Im using passwordstate in private (free license) and there it appears. We have a license in the office, so I could open a ticket to the support. But yeah I have no compare how other passwordmanager does handle passkeys. It is a matter of time until a user in the office needs support with passkeys 😉
