Password Type Templates

Recommended Posts

It would be super-duper awesome if when adding a new password to a password list, if I could choose a template for the type of entry I'm adding.  Instead of having things like custom fields just at the password list level, being able to choose a custom entry type would be very useful.  It seems like this could be done with the "account type" option when adding a new password.  Instead of just a descriptive account type and image, being able to customize the fields that show up with each account type would be nice.

Hope that makes sense.

Hello,

Thanks for your request, and we do understand what you're saying. This would be a significant amount of work to achieve though, and would flow on to all modules within Passwordstate, so at this stage we would require a lot more interest from customers to spend time on this - we hope you understand.

You could always base your password lists on the security item types they'll contain. Rather than having a list that has multiple types of security items.
An example maybe...

  1. Folder - Application Name
    1. Active Directory
    2. SQL Server
    3. Application Passwords
    4. Windows
