AD Password Policy Enforcement

Recommended Posts

Now that you have released a custom Windows credential provider, it would be great if we could use that to enforce password policies when a user changes their password via CTRL+ALT+DEL in Windows.  We can do this when they reset their passwords, or go directly to the password portal.

This feature would also provide several other benefits:

1 - Password expiry notifications could be done via Windows Notifications center instead of emails (which is counter-intuitive when trying to tell users to not click links asking for password changes)

2 - More marketing material for Clickstudios :)

3 - It's something many competitors don't currently do

Maybe there is more to it than just a custom credential provider, but it seems like a logical feature to add.

Hello,

With our Windows Credential Provider, this is available now with our Password Reset Portal module - are you evaluating this module, or purchased it?

With the Password Reset Portal, we have a feature called Password Policies, and you can configure this to match your domain password policy, and enforce certain types of passwords. You can also have different policies for different sets of users if required.

Let us know if you would like to evaluate this module, if you aren't already.

Hello,

It enforces policy when you go to reset your password via our Password Reset Portal - if you are not using our Portal to reset your passwords, then we have no control over this.

Here is a quick video of this module https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21-P16xiu8U, and this an additional purchased module. Have you paid for this module, or are you evaluating it?

Regards
