Mi Ke got a reaction from support in PWS V9.1 Build 9117 - Authentication Failed - Testing writing files to the Passwordstate Folder.....
The cause was found with the help of the support:
The backup user was a member of an AD group that was via GPO assigned the local policy "deny log on locally". After I removed the user, the backup works.
