support
Issue: You are trying to perform a manual backup, or are in the backup portion of an In-Place upgrade, and you receive the following error: Failed: Passwordstate Installation Files Backup: Error = 'Exception calling "LoadFile" with "1" argument(s): "Could not load file or assembly 'ChilkatDotNet45.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found."[0].Exception' Fix: Passwordstate includes a Chilkat DLL file which performs the compressing of your backup files. This DLL depends on Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 libraries, which is installed by default with Passwordstate. If this C++ library is uninstalled for any reason, you will see this error when doing a manual backup. To fix this issue, please reinstall the Visual C++ Libraries on your Passwordstate web server from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=40784 As of Build 9108 of Passwordstate, we are putting better error capturing in the Test Permissions option on the backup page, plus we have upgraded our system requirements on our web page to reflect this information.
