Granting Security Administrator Roles using Emergency Access

support

Recommended Posts

Issue:

A Security Administrator is someone that has access to the Administrator tab, and they control all the back end global settings for Passwordstate.  Sometimes, these Security Administrators leave the company, and you have no one else that has Security Administrator access.

Fix:

You'll need to log in with your emergency account, and unlock a feature that will allow the emergency access account to assign Security Administrator roles for another user.

Please read this blog about how to use Emergency, and how to recover the password if you do not know it: https://blog.clickstudios.com.au/emergency-access-password-what-is-it-and-how-do-i-find-it/

Once you are logged in with Emergency, generate a code as per below screenshot, and send this through to Click Studios support via their support page: https://www.clickstudios.com.au/support.aspx

Click Studios Support will respond with some instructions to unlock this feature, and then you should be able to log in as Emergency again, and access the Security Administrators menu.  From here, you can grant any existing Passwordstate user the Security Administrator roles of your choice:
