Bobby Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 For the new api access via windows account in version 8, how will that work with the number of licenses users? Will it be like the current API where it doesn’t count against the number of users or will I need to ensure I define a user for each service account that will query Passwordstate? If it’s this latter, does this mean I would need to buy more licenses users to allow API access from service accounts?
support Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Hi Bobby, You are correct, and this does mean that the identity of the user account that is executing the scripts will also need to have a user account in Passwordstate, with appropriate permissions. For example, if you are adding is a password into a password list, it will need to have modify permissions that Password List. Hope this help, Support.
