Windows Defender Quarantining AgileDotNet.VMRuntime.dll File

Hello Everyone,

 

In a recent virus definition update on Windows Server 2016, Windows Defender seems to be quarantining the file c:\inetpub\passwordstate\bin\AgileDotNet.VMRuntime.dll for some customers - this does not seem to affect other operating systems at this stage. When this happens, it will prevent access to Passwordstate.

 

This is a false/positive by Microsoft, as you can see from the scan below from virustotal.com. if you experience this issue, please follow section '5. Manual Upgrade Instructions' in the following document to update all files again - https://www.clickstudios.com.au/downloads/version8/Upgrade_Instructions.pdf

 

We also recommend setting up an exception in Windows Defender, to prevent this from occurring again, until we can organize with Microsoft to fix this.
