Hi there

 

For every new user we create in our organization, we need to create an account, and provide appropriate access within Passwordstate.

We would like to be able to automate this, unfortunately there is no interface into user administration via the API.

 

Ideally we would like to be able to:

 

  1. Create new accounts
  2. Add the new account to a security group

Hi Luke,

 

Thanks for your request. Have you integrated Passwordstate with Active Directory? If you have, you can automatically sync AD Security Groups, and this can also automatically add those users in?

 

Let me know if this is an option, as we do not really have any plans to add account management to the API at this stage.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately no we have not, and it is not an option. This is because our Passwordstate installation sits in a different environment, and we use SAML based authentication.

 

What would the effort be to add this?

Hi Luke,

 

Thanks for confirming. We will consider this request when we next look at improving our API. We can't give a time frame for this at the moment though, as we are working through many other older feature requests.
