support Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 Issue: You see a number of errors in the Administration -> Error Console saying "Failed to authenticate UserID of 'constoso\jbloggs'. Error = Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion." Resolution: We've had this reported to us a few times and it is caused by some Windows patches being applied to the Passwordstate web server, but the server had not yet been rebooted. Rebooting the server fixes the issue. Regards, Support
