Backups with sqlexpress as database

I'm going through the backup instructions in order to backup our Passwordstate instance.  The instructions call for changing the 'Log in as' user for the SQL database used for passwordstate.  Does this same step need to be followed if we're using SQLExpress database instead of full SQL?

Hello,

Yes, if you are wanting Passwordstate to also backup your database, then you need to modify the Windows Services for SQL Server as instructed - as well for SQL Server Express.

There are some changes coming in version 9 which will change this requirement, as long as you are backup up to a Windows Share - if backing up to NAS or SAN Storage, then the requirements will be the same in version 9.

Or you can also take your own backups of SQL Server as well - it's not necassary for Passwordstate to do this.
