Guest Grant
Hi, We currently have PasswordSafe and are looking to move to Passwordstate, but need to import everything from PasswordSafe. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do it? Thanks, Grant.
support
Hi Grant, We might have a PowerShell script which can help you with this import, via our API. Can you please contact us via our support page - https://www.clickstudios.com.au/support.aspx, and send us a sample export of your passwords - basically we need to see what each of the exported columns are called. We've created a script previously for another customer, so hopefully there will be minimal modifications required. The process will also be very similar to the following Blog post for importing KeePass data - https://www.clickstudios.com.au/blog/import-passwords-keepass-passwordstate/ Regards Click Studios
Sarge
2 hours ago, Guest Grant said: Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do it? Hi Grant, Yes its possible. The way we did it was simply to use the "Import Passwords" function on a password list which gives you the ability to export a template. Then export the Password Safe database to a CSV, and update the headings in the exported CSV with those that are marked as required in the exported template. Another method is to export from Password Safe to CSV, then import into a new KeePass 1.x database from that CSV. Then use the KeePass method (link provided by support in the post above) to import. That should work around any messing with the CSV column names etc.
